I hope this post finds you well rested and enjoying a healthy life style.  One of the most common questions that I receive at the end of a challenge is when is the next one going to be?  Well, to answer that question – I am not sure.  There will definitely be another challenge, bigger and better I am sure.  Nick and I will get together and start planning details, but will most likely happen this fall.  I will email all bodybuggers to let you know when registration is available.

The next most common question is what do I do with my Bodybugg?  When we sign up a new account it comes with 3 months activation.  In order for you to get the most out of your Bodybugg you may keep your Bodybugg for the next couple of weeks.  Use it, upload, and continue your healthy success.  Bodybuggs need to be turned in to Nick or I before July 25th, 2008.  If you wish to purchase your Bodybugg you may do so for $149 plus tax.  Again, see Nick or I when doing so.

I hope that you have enjoyed this Bodybugg Ultimate Loser Team Competition.  Our goal is to aide you in reaching your health and fitness goals.  In our society we have so many things to battle against when it comes to staying healthy.  There is no magic pill or potion.  Staying healthy only requires two things commitment and motivation.  A commitment to eat healthy and be responsible for what you put into your body, and motivation to move!  You all know it when you move you burn calories.  I hope you take that away from this challenge.

Keep up the hard work, commit yourself every day, and stay motivated!

In Good Health,

Dan Smith
Sports Academy

PS- if anyone wants their pictures please just shoot me an email and I will burn them to disc for you and let you know when they are ready to pick up.  And team results will be posted after the awards are given away!

Last & Final Week!

June 23rd, 2008

Hey Bodybuggers - this is week 8 which means this Friday is your final weigh-in!  Have you accomplished what you set out to do?  Have you created the habits that you needed to form to make this a lifelong lifestyle?  If you answer yes to these questions, congratulations!  If no, there is still time and you can still make a difference!  In looking at bodybuggs and meal plans you know that making your calories count makes a huge difference in your outcome.  There is no way around it.  You can try to work out more, but that is not the answer.  Your body gets tired and wears out, which is when those extra calories get you.  Keep pushing forward watch and account for everything.  Remember what you do effects those around you whether it is your kids, brothers, sisters, or neighbors.  You can/will have a huge impact on those around you, so be consistent and keep yourself motivated.  Week 7 found participants losing 39.8 pounds bring the total to 635.2 pounds with one week to go.  It is a tight race so check out results on the individual pages!  Have a healthy week!

Week Six Results - Just Two Weeks Left!

June 9th, 2008

Week Six finds teams with a total weight loss of 60.8 pounds bringing the total overall weight loss to 595.4 pounds!  With two weeks left teams find themselves working hard and working hard not missing class as participation counts towards the over all winning team.  Good luck this week, focus on those healthy habits, and work hard!!  Alissa’s team won the fitness challenge by completing thier mile swim with a time of 31:28.  As the winner’s they received a $35 dollar gift certificate towards a massage ar aesthitics treatment at Academy Massage!  Congratulations!

Week #4… everyone lost a little more!

June 3rd, 2008

We’ve reached the half way point and and teams have lost a total of 466.4 pounds and 379.5 inches.  That’s an average of 11.96 pounds per person!  Good work everyone.  At this point in the challenge you should be developing some great eating and exercising habits.  You should be able to feel the difference between eating healthy and eating not so healthy.  This is really what the Bodybugg Ultimate Loser is about, developing healthy habits that you will be able to keep for the rest of your life.  Keep up the great work.  It shows with all the teams competing in Saturday’s challenge and all finishing under 18 minutes.  I was thoroughly impressed with everyone’s efforts and accomplishments and it shows in the results that you are all achieving!  Have a great week!

Week Three Results!

May 26th, 2008

Teams are nearing the half way point of the Bodybugg Ultimate Loser and in week three lost 96.6 pounds bring their total weight loss to an amazing 396.2 pounds which is 4.72%.  Week Three finds Felice’s team in the lead at 5.36% weight loss with Alissa’s team right behind them at 5.03%.  The aches and pains should definitely be gone by now and everyone should be hitting their stride when it comes to working out and eating healthy.  But the real challenge is making this a lifestyle.  Are you learning/forming habits that you can take with you and keep up, if you’re not, make some changes that will help you create these healthy habits that will help you enjoy your new lifestyle!  Have a great week and keep up the great work!  Saturday, May 31st is your second head to head fitness challenge so get ready!

Week Two Results and Challenge!

May 19th, 2008

Week 2 turned out to be a great week and found teams losing 141 pounds bringing their grand total to 299.6 pounds lost in two weeks!  Inches lost totalled 180 which if you do the math means we just lost (2) average sized females, or 1 1/2 averaged sized males.  Great week everyone!  Saturday May 14th was also the first head to head fitness challenge.  We always like the first challenge to involve calculating calories, but this time around we wanted to make sure we burned some calories as well.  Teams started at Sports Academy adn made their way to Lee’s Marketplace by foot where the had to accoutn for one days worth of meals by running through the store looking for Bodybugg Labels that had been attached to ingredients for that meal.  Once complete they then had to return to Sports Academy and the first team to complete this challenge and cross the finsih line won.  Felice’s Team (9:00 am) team finished in 46:04 and received $25 gift certificates to Lee’s Marketplace.  Great Job everyone - Keep up the great/hard work and always LIVE HEALTHY!

If you have comments on the challenge post them here!
