Meet Nikki!

Hi, I’m Nikki and I’m the Massage Director here at the Sports Academy!

I earned my National Massage Therapy License in 2003. I received my training from Utah College of Massage Therapy, in Salt Lake City. I furthered my education with specialization in sports training massage including pre/post event massage, injury massage & sport-specific massage. Additionally, I received focused training in Russian Sports Massage. With this specialized training, I had the opportunity to provide sport-specific massage to athletes in the 2002 Winter Olympics- truly a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. I have been with SARC since Fall of 2003. I was naturally drawn to Utah State University athletics. Over the past 15 years, I have worked with many USU athletes who continued on to play for the NFL, CFL and a variety of international professional basketball teams. In their off-seasons, I enjoy the privilege of having these athletes return to me in Cache Valley for massage and creation of future treatment plans.

From 2010-13, I traveled one day a week to Seattle, WA to provide massage therapy for players on the Seattle Seahawks roster, a time-intensive, yet very rewarding experience. Professionally, I often hear from clients that I am their "last option for treatment, and they have tried everything”. This is one of my greatest professional joys. I know I have the ability and opportunity to get them feeling great in no time. Because I have a deep passion for what I do, I have had the good fortune to lay hold of amazing opportunities within my professional field. I know, first-hand, the many benefits massage can provide for clients and I believe it is not only valuable, but often a transformative tool in a person's overall health.

Meet Briana!

Hi, I’m Briana. I’ve been a massage therapist since 2007. I began my career in luxury day spas before moving to an athletic club in a ski-resort town, where I worked under the guidance of a renowned physical therapist for professional athletes in mountain sports.

It was there that I developed a deeper understanding of body mechanics and learned how postural imbalances and movement patterns can contribute to dysfunction, pain, and injury. Helping clients restore movement and improve range of motion has become one of the most rewarding parts of my work.

Recently, I’ve become more focused on fascia, the fascinating connective tissue network that surrounds, permeates, and supports nearly every structure in the body and which is deeply tied to our nervous system.

I know that meaningful change happens only when the nervous system feels safe. Even when my work is deep, the pace is often slow and is always intentional and precise. Rather than forcing through tissue that is guarding or protecting, I listen and wait for the body to respond.

My role is not to force change but to create the conditions for it. We work at your pace, giving your body the time and space to let go safely and only when it is ready.

I incorporate principles from many modalities based on your needs, including deep tissue and sports massage, Thai-stretches adapted for the table, PNF, trigger point, myofacial release and cranio-sacral holds. This style of work is highly effective and can be deeply relaxing.
